    Their earlier work is what makes their later work better. They have strawberry, or that thing with Ministry, but people really only know Pepper. If a band could be used to be used to describe the vague realities of rock, the Butthole Surfers are it. Punk? No, despite Jello’s connection. Hard to describe to “others” and they either like or they don’t. Especially now haha.

      I’ve had a weird relationship with Gibby over the last 3 decades. At one point I was interacting with him semi-regularly, as my girlfriend during the early 2000s was best friends with Gibby’s girlfriend.

      I could tell a bunch of strange stories, but the one I always remember first is him knocking over a refrigerator and overturning a massive cooler of ice in the green room after a show because there was no beer.

      The ice and water leaked through the floor and dripped from the ceiling below onto the bartenders working in the club underneath the green room.
