Yeah it absolutely does. This is one of those few games where you have these waifus to collect, sure, but they have actual personalities and backstories to get to know and explore. Are there some tropey characters? Sure, it’s unavoidable at this point, but Shift Up has gone to some decent lengths to make sure each NIKKE is distinct enough from one another.

Eunhwa both suffers from and is an example of this. She’s vastly different from everyone else by being a miserable sod no one really wants to interact with (at least I don’t). Even Dorothy eventually develops a modicum of respect for the Commander, and I’d definitely say she has a very good reason for being a bitch towards him.

Like I said, I don’t want them to all be dolls who instantly fall in love with the Commander, but at least have some baseline respect for his military rank, at the bare minimum.

I certainly agree with disliking her further with the attempt at moe. I’m at a point where I don’t even care about her backstory. I don’t wanna know or understand why she is the way she is. I just want her to stay away, which probably reinforces the way she is, but as long I don’t have to deal with it, I’ll live. 🤣
