Is there something that I am missing? I have auto rotate on and sensors are not off, the screen can rotate in other apps

I’m on pixel 9.

Any ideas? Is this a bug?

I’m holding my phone in landscape to take the photo ( no menus flip like they are supposed to)

Here you can see the photo was taken upright, not landscape:

    Probably your Camera app can’t access the level/rotation sensor.

    Settings -> Apps -> Camera -> Permissions -> Sensors -> Allow

      Oh my, I would have never thought of that…

      Gave the camera sensor permissions and now it rotates!

      One of the pros and cons is that much control, lol
