The most Boring Prompt

“Let’s talk about the weather.”

It’s one of the most dreaded sentences to either hear or say in a conversation. It’s a sure way to indicate that you have so little in common with someone else that the only thing you can think of is the weather.

Is that what this is? Just a silly, stupid, boring prompt?

Day Eight Prompt

Read the prompt again… There is a keyword in this prompt that should make it obvious that it is not as boring as it first seems. That keyword is: Feel.

Use the weather as a gateway to exploring your feelings. They don’t have to be deep, you aren’t trying to uncover some past trauma. Relating your feelings to things that are external that you can’t control is a way to discover some new things about yourself.

Write About How the Weather Today Is Making You Feel.

Leader Board Update

I’ve been giving this a bit of thought. I think posting the LeaderBoard in here twice a week should be sufficient to show the progress the participants are making in the goal. My current thought is to post it on Sunday and Thursday, but I might change the days if I think of a reason to.

Instead, I will supply the link to the LeaderBoard most days.
