I frequently fat-finger both selecting the emoji icon and the X to close it, which results in accidentally hitting whatever emoji is closest to the X on random posts/comments. Is there a way to remove this reaction once I’ve done it? I know I can change the reaction to a different one, but if there’s a way to completely remove it I’m missing it.

    Edit: I did as Rimu described and it worked. At first, I was clicking at the top of the column. Don’t do that. It does not work. Obvs.

    No but if you do a second reaction it automatically replaces the mistaken one.

    Same thing happened to me. I’d appreciate being able to click the reaction I make on the comment to get rid of it entirely.

    Also, I’m guessing these reactions only show for PieFed users and do not show up as comments or anything for people on Mbin or Lemmy?

      That’s right. For other threadiverse software, the reactions just look like an upvote since they don’t understand the emoji payload.
