There are many things that people dislike about Windows 11’s File Explorer these days. From abysmal performance (Microsoft actually considers auto-starting it to “fix” slow performance) to annoying bugs like flashbangs when creating new tabs. Sadly, File Explorer is no longer snappy, and Microsoft is about to add insult to injury by injecting more AI into it.

Every time AI is injected into something new, it’s basically just an excuse to transmit more of your data and telemetry up to a cloud server so they can spy on you and sell the info to data brokers.

Can’t wait to see windows users click on the file explorer icon and ram usage blow up to the sky.
