What’s more, Read “The Raven Tower.” It’s a brilliant contained book with so much of the same vein of commentary with a fascinating world.
Ann Leckie is such a great author. I recommend the Radch to everyone who asks for a book
Great example of “books with a shared universe, but different stories.”
Each book of the series follows fully different people that interact with the uninverse in different ways. There is some crossover, but none of this “the galaxy is just for skywalkers” habit that is so common in speculative fiction.
The Ancillary books follow one story, unless something changes in Mercy which I haven’t read yet.
The ancillary part of the series yes indeed it is connected, I think rainwall is referring to the other books in the universe: (Provenance, Translation State, Night’s Slow Poison and the new one Radiant Star) each set in a different part of the universe with different timelines.
Yeah, that makes more sense. I didn’t know there were so many others, I’d only heard of Provenance.
