Honestly, they could carve the swastika. Its the same thing

I remember a comment from another post about how the right makes friends with people who changed their mind, whereas the left berates them for not changing it sooner. They had a point, but this is taking it to another (insane) level, and is messed up on so many levels.
Just to let everyone know, this is not actual socialism. This is someone trying to coopt socialism to espouse physical and mental torture and mutilation of people who have, yes, committed harm, but mostly because of normal human psychology and the bad luck to be born in a bubble. You may think you are so clever and would see the flaws in the narrative if you were in their situation - I have been guilty of thinking like this myself - but the truth is, many (maybe even most) people wouldn’t, because many people don’t. And that’s not their fault that their mind and circumstances are the way they are.
I would ordinarily say that empathy works better at convincing real people and thus enacting real change than insulting people, but this goes so far beyond that it makes it seem that you don’t actually want to change people’s minds - you’d rather be right and in a small group of right people in a broken world.
I would love for my interpretation to be wrong - if it is, please tell me.
this is a joke reference to a movie.
I am very glad that my initial interpretation was wrong. I was not able to understand how something so horrible could get over 100 upvotes. It’s still mildly discomforting to joke about this even as a movie reference, but not as bad. Out of interest, what was the movie/scene?
Inglorious Basterds
Isn’t it also loosely a reference to the bathroom scene in Fight Club? That’s the only movie I can think of where Pitt wore a white tux with an untied bow tie and the scene has the same vibe. Also a big-ass knife.
I think he’ll get better each time until the letters are lined up and the same size.
I hope I mean, I think you’re interpretation is wrong because it seems strangely pro-nazi.
But I’m an American, and the American right loves people for never having changed their minds. Not f****** ever. Not about black people or queer people or Latinos are immigrants.
They’re just going to berate you with how they were the party of Lincoln or whatever the f***.
Couldn’t scalp him, had to improvise.
