If you set the notification bell to "All" for a subscribed creator, YouTube is experimenting with smarter delivery so you are not flooded with push alerts for videos you are unlikely to open or watch.

    It would be enough for me if I could disable notifications for new shorts of channels I’m subscribed to. I don’t want to watch any shorts.

    Or said in different words: Just give me more options to control my notifications instead of trying to automate it.
