      China is an atheist state, committing atrocities against people because of their religion.

        And?

        If an atheist commits a crime, do you assume that crime was because of atheism?

        Just because China replaced its gods with a cult of personality, and crushes any other hierarchies of power does not mean they are doing so because of their atheism.
