Peachy is one of my favorite Michigan-based rosin companies. Fantastic value for the price. Lemon Sherb is great, tastes citrus-y and funky.

I dab (vaporize) it on what’s called a “terp slurper.” Here’s a previous post of mine that shows the piece on the right: https://lemmy.world/post/913935

Dabbing concentrates is about heat control and retention. There are less cumbersome options, like Puffco’s line of products.

To me, the legal market is looking amazing these days. If you go to the right dispensaries and buy from the right growers/processors, quality and price are very reasonable. I don’t find availability to be an issue; there’s about 3 dispensaries I prefer to go to, out of maybe 40 I could go to within a half hour drive.

As an example, today I got this rosin gram for $30, and a half oz of Sherb Cream Pie flower for $75. In my recent experience, quality concentrates can range from $30-$60 a gram, and quality flower can range from $50-100 a half oz.

it’s too bad you can’t bring some back with you from north of the border, those prices for flower are getting you the full ounce here 😭

i only know Toronto’s scene tbh but the weed is damn good

a friend got a 4 pack of these 0.5 joints infused with 99% THCA and God damn it was like smoking weed for the first time again

grey market edibles are better than the licensed dispensary ones (which cap out at 10mg)

How do they work out percentages here? What’s there other than cannabinoids and how does it get to over 100%?

And daaaamn I wish I could buy my weed by terpene content like that

Huh, now that you mention it, the math doesn’t seem to really add up lol. I assumed the “total” number was THC + all cannibinoids, maybe they’re measuring others not listed. I’m assuming the rest of the composition (the final 16.8% beyond 83.2% total cannibinoids) is plant byproduct like waxes, maybe flavonoids.

But yeah, I’m generally staring at that terpene chart for my own purchase decisions!

Bonus pic: The last (giant) dab of the Mackinaw OG, a Michigan delicacy. Very pine-y and almost smells like cologne.

That’s a great question. According to Weedmaps, it does look like Obama Kush may have originated in MI:

“Obama Kush, like many strains, has mysterious origins. Online sources think Michigan’s Superior Genetics may have crossed a Skunk hybrid mother plant with an Afghani x OG Kush dad to get Obama Kush.”

I wish there was a book or resource that better outlined geographic origins of strains. I know of the Pure Michigan, Yooper Cookies, Paul Bunyan (which is a cross of the last 2)

Runtz came from LA but Michigan folks go crazy for it.
