What open-source Minecraft server and client should I use to ensure zero telemetry, with modding support?
I personally use crafty controller in a docker container on my NAS and it’s been relatively solid. There’s a bit of learning up front, but it works well once you understand it.
Thanks, does this block Microsoft telemetry automatically? (Or how to disable microsoft telemetry?)
I haven’t really checked. I assume there isn’t anything you can do to Minecraft itself, as the game is still from mojang. Not that there’s a lot of useful info you can pull from a Minecraft server…
Server is relatively easy, but to get to zero telemetry on the client, you’re going to have a lot of overlap with things you’d go sailing for. What’s your feelings on the microsoft account requirements? If that’s a dealbreaker, a legitimate client likely won’t get you there.
I have no microsoft account requirements.
Found this https://modrinth.com/mod/no-telemetry
Is this enough to block telemetry on both official server and client? Are there any better third party options (servers or clients)?
