    The “Chinese autoparts” portion is how you know this is nothing more than performative bullshit that they don’t actually want passed. Most aftermarket replacement parts come from China and many OEM parts come from there too. Banning these would cripple the US auto market.

      Many restoration parts for classic vehicles also come from China because tooling up for a part with a pretty limited customer base would rarely be worth it in the U.S.
