What Israel is doing is worse, yet most world leaders are justifying Israel’s actions. Nobody seems to be condemning these political slimeballs. It seems that Hamas, a violent liberation movement is being held to a higher standard than nation states.

It’s pretty hypocritical to start a war and then, when the people you started the war with come for you, to claim that they’re being too aggressive. It’s not a morally coherent position. When you start a war, you know for a fact that there will be a counterattack and there is no universe in which said counter isn’t going to involve lots of civilian casualties. Hamas knew this but did it anyway, so who’s really to blame? Do we really expect the Israelis to just back off and not respond? Why don’t we treat any other countries that way? Why the double standard? What’s really going on here?

People called the ANC in South Africa and Nelson Mandela a terrorist too. It’s a label to try and vilify and dehumanize the other. The reality is that Israel is an apartheid state, and it’s committing genocide against the Palestinians. Hamas is only a product of that and they can only be defeated by ending the crimes against humanity.
