    Highland Park is ridiculous; pay millions of dollars for a generic house just inches from your neighbors giant mansion.

    I think people just like the prestige, because living there looks miserable for such an expensive neighborhood.

        Oh, that’s absolutely what is happening. They want the advantages that living in a big city provides, but in the most antisocial way possible.

        They’re actual leaches on society.

    Sounds like Highland Park are stupid and should have thier taxes raised to meet the 270 million short fall in taxes for the city.

    it paid $6.3 million in sales tax to the agency but received $1.9 million worth in services.

    Hard to argue with their decision from a financial POV.

      economist brainrot. the rich neighborhood should contribute proportionally more to city-wide public goods.
