Ideas for things to do in the Fediverse for the World Cup?

I have most of the pieces in place to launch another football-focused service for the fediverse (jogabonito.community).
It can be used as place to host Lemmy-style groups, but it’s 100% powered by own ADAPT project. Given that it fully implements the ActivityPub API, I am wondering what ideas anyone could come up with.
I’m not speaking for everyone, but I believe we shouldn’t do anything. Its not only the political, but also Infantino and it’s stupid brain.

The wrost part is ethical too for me, if should put political in sports and stuff like Eurovision, or if I should not. I hope that we do change the feature.

I completely skipped watching even highlights from Russia and Qatar. I live in a host city and have enough money to pay the ludicrous ticket prices, but I’m not going to even watch on TV. Fuck everything about this WC.

Some things I am considering:
- Match threads
- Polls for choosing the best play of the match/day
- Actors for each country that would aggregate all news/match details and could be easily followed (akin to tags.pub)Anything else?
We are probably going to do match threads on !football@sopuli.xyz , but not sure how closely the event will be followed due to the political context
A bit late to this, but I will be watching a lot of the games and would be interested in discussing them. Maybe a daily thread would suffice, if there isn’t enough interest for individual match threads?
The only thing I will look at or interact with related to this WC will be seeing final scores. I’m not even going to look at highlights or read match threads.
