I imagine vampires can’t just eat blood fried potatoes, but also they don’t just eat human. Maybe Cicadas and Blood. Blood and Fingernails, with the dry leavings of a Leviathan’s self measuring event. Tears can substitute only if shed without sincerity
There’s probably some interesting digestive side effects to a body used to a liquid diet.
Can imagine a plotline where the vampire is always disappearing after human-style “masking” meals to sit around with stomach cramps and the runs.
