      I was curious and apparently they are not endangered and regularly grow to over 150ft with trunks up to 20ft thick at the top of the buttress roots which sometimes go as high as 40ft up. Kapok apparently specifically refers to the fiber that is harvested from this tree and other similar species in other locations.

      I believe that a tree of exactly that size only existed for the moment the picture was taken.
