But… it’s T or C. I’m pretty sure no one lives there voluntarily.

I knew someone from TorC, they were pretty big on the national and state parks.

Oh and crystal/geode hunting. Desert folk have a whole vibe.

Fair play, there’s some pretty decent parkland in the state.

Too true about the desert folk, rock hounds and dirt farmers abound in the family tree. Things get weird quickly.

Yea, I couldn’t believe the sheer volume of loose crystals laying around in some parts of the SW while I was RVing through.

Been this way since i started using it a decade ago.

Travelers can search by country rather than a particular neighborhood too, which makes it easier to find a great apartment at a great price.

it’s fun searching by country rather than city to see what’s available.

What are you planning to do there? ToC is very much in the middle of nowhere population wise. And don’t forget to factor in car rental costs, you’d need a car there to do anything

everyone i know in desert towns enjoys a slower life, so i think they’ll be happy with the hot springs, national parks, massages, restaurants, museums, geode hunting, crystal shops and all that.

a lot of desert people have electric scooters and bikes now for town travel, and there are car rentals and cheap used cars available in ToC if you’re planning more long-term.

all the places mentioned above are inside or within a couple miles of downtown TorC.

TorC is not Manhattan, but there are massages, museums, restaurants, weed shops, hot springs, everything mentioned above is in or nearby the town.

          spas:

          restaurants:

the main lake is a 7-30 minutes bicycle ride away depending on your hotel.

TorC is not a singlular, required destination, just an example of how traveling can provide many options, one of which is a highly-rated $750 private apartment in New Mexico.

FAQ

“How much does traveling cost?”

Cost of living(rent, utilities, data/wifi, groceries) is $500 USD per month for most countries, up to $1000 for most others.

“Health care and insurance?”

Health care and insurance abroad are both pennies on the US dollar for the highest quality of medical care

“What about visas?”

You usually don’t need them; when necessary, visas are almost all entirely online: a fifteen minute e-form and nominal fee offset in your first day by the drastically lower cost of living abroad.

“How do you make money while abroad?”

Any job that nets you $500+ a month works. There are almost 2 billion English students globally right now, so native English speakers have lucked into a guaranteed job on or offline.

“What qualifications do I need as an English teacher?”

Some countries and schools require a TEFL certificate or prefer candidates with an associate’s degree depending on the position, but if you want to teach English, all you need is to be a fluent English speaker.
