Actually working people and the oppressed are the ones bearing the brunt of the cost.

Trump’s war not only quelled the Iranian uprising, it legitimized the regime and secured its survival, maybe even for decades to come.

At the same time it sent many families in low-income countries into poverty as food and fuel prices became unaffordable.

Also, countries in the Gulf, with their dependence on oil and gas exports and/or tourism, have seen their economies be permanently damaged.

And the US, once the proud vanguard of freedom, prosperity and democracy, is now a rapidly declining superpower who’s people will soon face even more rising inflation, stagnant economic growth and a treasury that’s been stripped bare by ultra-wealthy, corrupt politicians.

Lmmfao. The only thing that’s changed is that the mask is off. The sooner your country collapses and balkanizes, the better off the rest of the world will be.

        Ah, forgot to add /s … 🫢

I was thinking mainly of the image the US projected of itself and the beliefs held by average Americans.

Back during the War On Terror, when asked what America was fighting for, Americans would typically answer ‘freedom’ or ‘democracy’.

Yeah, it was bullshit even during the Cold War, but as was commented: the mask has come off.
