No fucking shit NYT, turns out burning all the carbon molecules that took millions of years of plant absorption and sequestration into the soil and dumping the waste into our atmosphere may have actually done something to the atmosphere.
Didn’t it also take tectonic shifts to get it that deep ?
It definitely does, takes a fair bit of heat and pressure to make those long chain hydrocarbons.
In my head that’s a part of sequestration, but that’s probably misusing the word
