They had rights in China? I thought they’ve always been persecuted.

The government is above the law in China, I see China going the same route as Russia when it comes to LGBT. A nice minority to demonize in order totake attention away from your own unpopularity.

The same Human Rights Watch with close ties to the US government who would certainly never post misleading stories about the US’s enemies?

HRW is also criticizing the U.S., just fyi. As I write this comment, it’s even the first story of its site hrw.org .

Guess your remark is just whataboutism referencing Chinese state media.

      did you 2× check these?

      https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202205/1266271.shtml

has no evidence, it’s all libel

      https://truthout.org/articles/nobel-peace-laureates-slam-human-rights-watchs-refusal-to-cut-ties-to-us-government/

Is an OPED, where in group A claims HRW has conflicts of interest. Not that it is true or not, but that Truthout decide to publish this claim.

      https://web.archive.org/web/20181105214850/https://www.alternet.org/world/nobel-peace-laureates-human-rights-watch-close-your-revolving-door-us-government?paging=off

This is doing the samething as Truthout, giving these accusation a platform.

Two letters in this case being obvious shorthand for ‘the guy you’re nitpicking is on an instance by tankies for tankies, hiding behind an ingroup stalking-horse.’

Response goes ‘but I genuinely like that horse.’

That is not the issue here, buddy.

Rules for thee, but not for me.

Maybe if you actually bothered to read the articles I linked, you’d see there are plenty of verifiable sources for the statements they make.

We just blindly trust the accuracy of OP, who didn’t even bother to link to an article, yet discredit any suggestion that there might be bias at work in HRW because it’s not widely covered by western controlled liberal media.

HRW is just an organization trying to establish casus belli for western imperialism.

I did read. I also questioned OP.
Maybe try a little less patronization, and more open minded reading.

Thank you for the other sources.
