I don’t know why we can’t at least acknowledge a smidge of progress in a good direction, even if it’s not a full on revolution like we should’ve had years ago.

I think a big part of that is the fact that if there has been progress is down to interpretation.

For example the Malcolm X interpretation of: “If you stick a knife nine inches into my back and pull it out three inches, that is not progress. Even if you pull it all the way out, that is not progress. Progress is healing the wound, and America hasn’t even begun to pull out the knife.”

There’s also those of us looking at it from outside the imperial core where Amerikans recieving a better share of imperial plunder is not only not progress (as Amerika and it’s clients continue to act as they have since 1949) but in fact a regression of progress in many people’s eyes as it orients the interests of the imperial core proletariat to be more inline with the imperialists.

I think my main criticism of it all is that we’re still leaving the reigns in the hands of politicians and organizations. We sit back and wait for moneyed orgs to do the work, when it really needs to be worker-lead. But at the same time it’s also nice to see Mamdani knocking things out that no prior mayor bothered to do. It’s sad how low the bar is in Amerika.

The next mayor has to literally run on the “I’m gonna increase rent” platform. Good luck with that. Mamdani is getting that momentum needed where going back is going to be harder

DSA was founded by a Zionist and imperialist. It’s a glorified democratic party caucus with no potential beyond being a means to funnel momentum back into dead-end entryist candidates. Rinse and repeat for 50 years, and fall for it for the millionth time.

This meme was made with pure hatred lmao

Jokes aside, won’t DSA be useful for spreading awareness/support of socialism, and provide a platform for all leftists to organize? IIRC DSA has a marxist faction
