In 1928, the communists already began liberating parts in rural China, to the point of even getting involved in the material production of some areas and having some control over its trade. The conditions of China in 1921 were much different than they are in the USA today. I don’t anticipate anything like that happening soon in the West.

mfw when I’m bout to bring 1 billion people to greatness.
Not only that, IIRC the CPC was almost terminated by the KMT. So they had grow twice.
The more I read about the Chinese Proletarian Revolution the more I understand why some people called it a miracle.
the CPC and KMT/GMD (kuomintang is common but guomindang i think is more accurate) worked together initially, since after the qing dynasty/central power of the region fell, control of the land splintered into many different warlords of various degrees of brutality. they embarked on a JOINT mission (first united front if i’m not mistaken, they had the second try around during the resistance to imperial japan) to rid the country of these warlords and restore central power. after this mission’s success, the GMD, after sun yat sen’s death and after the virulently anti-communist chiang kai shek succeeded him, decided to try to purge the CPC who had worked alongside them as allies (and were basically an offshoot) for the wellbeing of the country in the shanghai massacre, basically right after the victory.
it can’t be understated just how much the GMD under chiang kai shek violently despised the CPC even when the CPC attempted to work alongside them during periods of strife like the japanese invasion. if you don’t already know the story, chiang kai shek’s own generals had to KIDNAP him during wartime because chiang was insistent on fighting the CPC even as the fascist japanese were invading. yes they would always have difficulties collaborating and the CPC did know at the end of the day they would have an irreconcilable difference, but it is a miracle that the CPC had to face a rival party with the (granted, hilariously misappropriated) funding of the usa who hated them and came out on top, it is a miracle they humiliated them, it is a miracle they survived after the long march (which was their retreat after being basically almost broken by the GMD after some fighting though i can’t recall if it was a specific battle or what). they had to grow again and again after battle after battle and enemy after enemy. so shoutout to mao and zhou and zhu de and everyone else and marshall ye and whoever whatever. it’s so crazy they came out on the other side and a century later the country is united and strong. wauw

This made me emotional, thinking how we work hard to encourage, correct, and mend differences with each other.
Thank you, comrade. ❤️🫡
