Opinion of MES — Any Gulf Arab cursing Iran for its attacks sincerely needs to find a brain

Iran is attacking countries like Kuwait, Bahrain, etc. because they house American bases on their territory and because Iran is getting DIRECTLY bombed from these countries by ground-to-ground missiles.

These people should thank Iran for its restraint. Do you know that most Patriot missiles are not fired from U.S. positions, but from Bahraini Army and Kuwaiti Army bases? In other words, Iran has chosen not to hit one of its primary objectives—missile defense systems—out of fear that Arab soldiers may be harmed in the process.

Count your blessings, because if this war continues, one day this calculation will also change. Arabs and fellow Muslims will unfortunately die due to the stupidity of your own governments. I hope it doesn’t get to that point, but the responsibility lies with your American and Zionist-loving rulers.

    My View

I agree with this assessment. Although I’ve argued against targeting any Gulf Arab civilian infrastructure beyond oil infrastructure (if you could call it purely civillian, I’d argue not) I think GCC military bases are valid targets. If they are gonna strike Iran on behalf of the US, then they are involved in the war, and therefore should not be surprised if they are hit back. That being said, I understand why Iran doesn’t do so. The day after this war, amd the expunging of imperialists from the region, the Gulf Arab people will remain. Fostering good relations and increasing regional economic development is the next step towards decolonization. The multipolar world is emerging on front of our eyes, and a semi-united West Asia would be able to facilitate global development very effectively due to their geophraphic distance from all other poles within the eastern hemisphere.

It’s easy to get frustrated with Iran’s restraint and want them to do more, and at times arguably it hasn’t served Iran’s interests well, but I would say that much more often than not, diplomatically, economically, militarily that restraint has greatly strengthened Iran’s position.

As you say, avoiding alienating the Arab public is the smart move, it turns them against their own rulers for standing with the US and ‘Israel’ and it creates the opportunity for a better diplomatic settlement in the future. Iran recognizes, unlike ‘Israel’ and the US, that regional and global public opinion does matter a lot actually in a variety of ways - and innocent blood is easy to spill but hard to wash out.

I needed to get this reality check. The people leading Iran know better than me what is best for Iran.

Still, I hope the reformists come out weaker than ever before once a dust settles. The world is heading towards a capital crisis never seen before. There’s no place for people who still want to perpetuate capitalism because they feel like they missed out

I’m pretty concerned with what’s going on with Iraq. I’m not sure if the government is making a deal with the devil for the people’s sake or if they have completely capitulated for selfish reasons, so I wait to see.

❗️Malaysia warns any Israelis found in the country will be immediately deported

    Expand

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said on Wednesday that authorities are investigating allegations that an Israeli national may have been involved in the activities of a private residential community in the southern state of Johor, stressing that the government would take firm action if the claims are confirmed.

According to Free Malaysia Today, Anwar said there would be no compromise if the allegations proved true, stating: “If we find any Israeli, we will deport them immediately because we do not recognize Israel.”

Malaysia does not maintain diplomatic relations with Israel, and Israeli passport holders are generally prohibited from entering the country without special government approval. The Home Ministry launched an investigation after Johor state authorities called for a federal probe into allegations involving Network School, a startup community based in Johor.

    —❗️🇺🇸/🇮🇷/🇦🇪 IRGC Statement:

‘Earlier this evening, the U.S. military attempted to escort several ships through the Strait of Hormuz via an illegal route not approved by Iran; a route that is dangerous and has been extensively mined.

Two Emirati supertankers, which were deceived by the U.S. into believing they were safe, were targeted and disabled after they turned off their navigation systems and ignored repeated warnings.’

There is a “clear shift in strategic thinking” in Tehran, especially after the killing of the former surpreme leader who had been “cautious about directly confronting” the US, Ali Fathollah-Nejad, director of the Centre for Middle East and Global Order, told Al Jazeera.

“Now we see escalating regional factional infighting within the regime in Iran between the hardline pragmatists on one hand and the ultra hardliners on the other hand,” he said. The latter seem to be “dictating the dynamic”, he said, adding that “this new Iranian strategy of escalation is formed from new strategic considerations of deterrence against a new full-fledged attack” on Iran that could “destabilise the regime”.

There is also a “sense of hubris, as well, from this ultra hardline camp, that … Iran has emerged victorious, plus the costs of confrontation are absorbable, and deep scepticism vis-a-vis the hardline pragmatist camp that has been leading Iranian negotiations”.

Don’t worry guys, previously it was this very real infighting between moderates and hardliners, we have now upgraded to hardliners vs. ultra hardliners. In a few months we will hear that there is a lot of infighting between the super-duper ultra hardliners vs. the ultimato-mega-giga-hardliners. What would we do without these analysts…

It seems like the US is increasingly trying to isolate southern Iran from the rest of the country. Several bridges have been hit, in addition to railways, tunnels, airports, roads, and hospitals are evacuated. They seem to focus on the destruction of civilian infrastructure trying to limit the movement of people, goods and logistical supplies.

I imagine this is to keep their options open with regards to putting troops on the ground or “taking” southern Iran.

❗️One in four Israelis turns to hard drugs during Gaza genocide, expanding wars

    Expand

One in four Israelis now engages in harmful substance use to cope with the internal fallout of Israel’s genocide in Gaza and its expanding wars across West Asia according to research by the Israeli Center for Addiction and Mental Health cited by Haaretz on 8 July.

The center said misuse has risen sharply since Israel launched its genocide on Gaza in October 2023 – climbing from one in 10 Israelis before the coronavirus pandemic to about 25 percent – with sedative use up 2.5 times, opiate and stimulant consumption nearly doubled, while the rate of use among people with post-traumatic stress disorder reaching 54.2 percent.

Users described ketamine, cocaine, amphetamines, cannabis, and prescription sedatives becoming routine tools for enduring the missile alerts, funerals, and mobilizations generated by Israel’s expanding wars.

Some Palestinian citizens of Israel reportedly also took to substance abuse after nearly 3 years of witnessing daily massacres in Gaza, turning to drugs as therapy remained inaccessible or unaffordable.

This is the sickness of imperialism, colonialism, and ethnic supremacy. Having difficulty to sleep is the least to expect of those who have been seduced to maintain this degenerate ethno-state. Even though that is not enough for making them stop the genocide.

“The surveillance and control radar and the fuel pumping station for the enemy’s fighter jets at the Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain were completely destroyed.”

**We’ll go along with the statement as our own sources have confirmed extensive destruction at the site overnight. We’re waiting for the satellite imagery to be 100% certain.
