Save you some time: “US senator” is disinformation peddler and election denier Josh Hawley, and his word for literally anything is as good as dirt; he’s actively nefarious. We should be looking at other sources (ones, of course, that aren’t reliant on him), and if other sources don’t exist, then it isn’t worth spreading here to begin with.
Your disagreement with him is not going to change the event.
The title would be the same even if from other source. “US senator” is not an honorary title, it’s a job.
“US senator” is not an honorary title, it’s a job.
What an odd response to calling out the fact that Josh Hawley cannot be trusted for even the most insignificant claim.
You’re the one who decided to directly link to a press release from Hawley right as Trump and his gaggle of election deniers are trying to claim that the CCP rigged the 2020 election for Joe Biden; the least you can do is take some responsibility.
Take some responsibility for what exactly?
Take responsibility for directly linking to the unfiltered words of one of the main people who tried to overturn the 2020 US presidential election and who would have literally every reason to publish this right now with Trump loudly trying to blame the CCP for his 2020 election loss?
Quoting The Kansas City Star’s editorial board:
No one other than President Donald Trump himself is more responsible for Wednesday’s coup attempt at the U.S. Capitol than one Joshua David Hawley, the 41-year-old junior senator from Missouri, who put out a fundraising appeal while the siege was underway.
You can quit playing dumb.
Will that change the news? The title would still be the same and the original source would still be the same.
Filtered or unfiltered. It’s still news.
“I can excuse seditious disinformation, but I draw the line at author credit in comic strips.”
Your moral compass could use some Adderall.
