When we got our kitten spayed, she was still super high from the anesthesia when we brought her home.
She kept trying to do the headbutt thing on us, but she was on the other side of the room. I’ve never seen a cat that high, and she’s like the 12th cat I’ve had.
It really must feel great because sometimes they will refuse to be pet themselves and only focus on head butting you, as if they were saying, “it’s your turn now to be loved”. I like petting them more, but I resign to my fate.
Taught my cat to do this on demand just recently. If she’s on my lap and I say bisou, she headbutts both of my cheeks.
