Fairphone 6 with postmarketOS, most likely. TheMightyCat@ani.social is working on this port.

I thought Jolla / Sailfish was the only viable option for a daily driver.

Ubuntu Touch is probably the better option, and with so much of SailfishOS still closed source, it is hard to put much trust in the medium term viability of that OS as the company clearly struggles to keep vital components up to date.

Why not switch to GrapheneOS or LineageOS? The former offers more security at the cost of being limited to Pixels and soon-to-be Motorola phones. The latter offers more privacy and greater device support at the cost of not being able to relock the device’s bootloader after installing.

A post about switching from an Android phone to a Linux phone in a Linux phone community and you ask why it’s not Android…? o.O

Both of these are still reliant on Android and thus Google. Switching to Linux eliminates this concern altogether.

Big GrapheneOS fan here. Superb experience on a second hand pixel. Yes google might shut the gate one day but for the time being it’s fine.

I’m switching my phone from Android to Linux

    That’s good news.

    But the picture is boring.
