The games will vary in obscurity, but I promise each would have had a North American release.

Please refrain from using reverse image search.

I’ll provide an answer if unsolved in 8 hours.

Can you guess the game ?

That looks like Robot Wars: Arenas of Destruction to me. I don’t know if it got a different name for the US release.

One of my favourite childhood games

Both Arenas of Destruction and Extreme Destruction are fun games, but I think I personally enjoyed Arenas of Destruction more. Purely for that one level with all the landmines, that was endless entertainment for me

Oh man, played so many hours of this as a kid. I looked it up and it looks like it might actually hold up today as being decently detailed. I might have to boot it up again.

Check out Robot Rumble 2! It’s admittedly rougher to onboard and lacks tutorials, but it’s modern and has a pretty solid bot builder. Once it clicks, it really opens up. And it’s free.

It’s a really hard game to get into and the UI is as ugly as Sin. But the physics are on another level. Here is hoping it gets some UI revamps .

And some ai bots to fight out of the box.

Battle RC is 5 dollar game on Steam that looks promising.

I loved the Robot Arena games (except for 3) I thought about doing that game. But remembered this one was even more obscure.

The console game was developed by THQ and allegedly was close to completion. It’s a shame it never came out.

Oh shit, I used to have this game in a 4-pack with Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 back when I was a teenager. Was the name Robot Arena? I don’t have the disk anymore to check

It looks like an older Robot Arena 2, the game I was looking for yesterday after remembering that I used to play a cool robot-building/fighting game during childhood. Oh the nostalgy…
