❗️Workers’ strike brings Ben Gurion Airport operations to a halt
Expand
Travel at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv was brought to a complete halt on Thursday following a workers’ strike, according to Israeli media reports.
The airport shut down at 2:00 PM after employees walked off the job, closing check-in counters and later halting arriving flights. The disruption came during the airport’s busiest period of the year, as the summer vacation season reaches its peak.
Videos shared on social media showed long queues and large crowds of stranded passengers.
Reports said airport workers were conducting a work-to-rule strike, although no details have yet emerged about the dispute that prompted the action.
😌🇮🇷一 IRGC spox Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi:
-
We are advancing day by day in all areas of weapons and combat equipment, and we are working to produce our weapons with greater precision, destructive power, and technological advancement.
-
If war breaks out again, our weapons will certainly be different from those of the past. This difference may manifest in the generation of warheads, accuracy, missile range, or other areas.
-
Iran has never ceased producing and developing weapons, and we are making progress every day. All possibilities in this field remain open.
-
Israel has entered its third year of war on Gaza, yet it has not been able to inflict significant damage on Hamas. How, then, can Saudi Arabia, whose military capabilities are less than Israel’s, confront Ansar Allah and the Yemeni fighters? It is impossible.
-
Saudi Arabia will not be able to contain Yemen and Ansar Allah, nor will it be able to remain immune from their attacks.

❗️Netanyahu denies approving international force deployment to Gaza
Expand
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Office said Israel has not yet authorized the deployment of the emerging International Stabilization Force (ISF) to Gaza under US President Donald Trump’s postwar plan, pushing back against Hebrew media reports indicating otherwise.
“Contrary to media reports, the political echelon has not approved the entry of the international force to the Gaza Strip,” the statement said, adding that “Israel has made it clear that there will not be any reconstruction in the Strip before Hamas is fully disarmed.”
The statement appears to address footage reported by Hebrew media earlier this week showing foreign military officers visiting the Rafah area alongside Israeli occupation forces. Some outlets characterized the visit as an initial deployment of ISF forces.
An Israeli official familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel on Tuesday that the footage showed a “pre-deployment site survey” conducted by senior military officers from Burundi and Uganda. Uganda announced earlier this month that it had approved sending troops to Gaza as part of the ISF, with the visit taking place amid preliminary talks with Israel over its participation in the force.
🇮🇱🇸🇾一 Reuters: Mossad chief Roman Gofman and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Sheibani discussed the Turkish military presence in Syria on August 14.
This contact, which came days before Israel bombed a Syrian military airbase in the north, was one of the highest-level contacts between Israel and the new Syrian government.

❗️In Gaza, Palestinians held a funeral procession for the remains of 50 members of the Al-Sawafiri, Al-Batneji, and Karam families, whose bodies were recovered from beneath the rubble of their homes nearly three years after they were killed in Israeli attacks.
The funeral marks the second mass burial in Gaza within two weeks.
Two weeks earlier, Palestinians buried the remains of 112 members of the Abu Sharia and Al-Hassaina families, whose bodies were also recovered from beneath destroyed homes.

VIDEO | US doctor reveals chilling Gaza siege conditions after being ignored by Washington officials
In a recent interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Dr. Mark Perlmutter revealed that he received absolutely no response from US Senator Chuck Schumer’s office or US embassies after Israeli occupation forces killed World Central Kitchen workers in March 2024, leaving him and fellow US medical volunteers without protection as Israel openly targeted aid workers and members of the press.
Describing his departure from the enclave, Perlmutter stated, “Leaving Gaza, I saw a line of aid trucks stretching roughly 31 miles, eight abreast, with food rotting inside as Israel blocked them from entering.”
He added that the blocked volume “is enough to surround Gaza three to five times with trucks of supplies that Israel was not letting in,” contributing to severe humanitarian starvation before a formal famine declaration was issued in July 2025.

❗️Turkiye denies military delegation presence at Syrian airbase following Israeli strike
Turkiye’s National Defense Ministry strongly denied that any Turkish military delegation was present at Syria’s Abu al-Duhur Airbase either before or during a recent Israeli airstrike on the facility.
Addressing reporters during a weekly press briefing, the ministry condemned the military assault as a reckless act designed to undermine Syria’s stability, security, and territorial integrity.
Ankara emphasized that any actions violating Syrian sovereignty are entirely unacceptable and asserted that Israel must immediately halt such escalations and fulfill its obligations under international law.
The ministry added that Turkiye remains fully committed to supporting Syria’s ongoing efforts to rebuild its national infrastructure and military capacity under a unified framework.
