Google rolled out the Lake America change on Saturday, while the official US government maps are still waiting.

Note: Waze, though owned by Google, still shows Lake Ontario. Edit: Oops, let me update. Yup, still Lake Ontario.
I’m using OsmAnd, but AFAIK only the first few map downloads for offline use are free. Not sure exactly, because I never hit the limit.
Recommend CoMaps; free and open source and privacy focused. Uses the same OpenStreetMaps data as OSM,.I just like the CoMaps interface more.
Another one that seems good is Magic Earth. It has decent navigation and traffic data, and claims to respect privacy.
I didn’t see it listed out, but cartes.app has been the best Google Maps alternative that I’ve found. It has a familiar interface and features that Google Maps users are used to.
It’s open source and uses data from OpenStreetMap.
Additionally CoMaps is great for offline maps driving/directions.
