So long as the threat of what is now called C-22 remains, nothing else that Canada’s federal government does really matters. It may be too much to hope that Von der Leyen understands it — she is not known for her expertise in topics at the intersection of technology and law — but it takes relatively little expertise to understand it well enough to see that a government which could enact such a law is not worthy of any respect. It takes only a willingness to look at what the proposed law says and does, rather than at what its proponents falsely claim that it would accomplish.

Um these people have no idea what Europe is trying to do.
