What punishments I’d like to see enacted:
- Relegation from the PL to League Two
- Complete transfer ban of any player aged 18 or older for at least 5 years
- Huge financial fine of at least £3 billion
- Every PL trophy they won since the irregularities started in 2009 taken away and given to whichever team finished 2nd (so: Man United x3, Liverpool x3, Arsenal x2)
- Every club who didn’t qualify for Europe or who got relegated from the PL as a direct result of fixtures against Man City to sue them (use some of the huge financial fine to help pay for those clubs’ legal expenses)
- Official club rename from Manchester City to Manchester Cheaty. (I’m joking on this one… maybe)
They need to set an example here.
What punishments I think will be given after the ridiculously long appeals process is exhausted:
- Financial fine of £250m
so: Man United x3
That would be very funny for multiple reasons.
Personally I hope the EFL rejects them so they have to start from the National, but that’s obviously unlikely.
