Sorry if this has been answered many times elsewhere (or is in a FAQ or guide somewhere)…I’ve searched but haven’t had any luck finding it.
Is it possible for me to create a new community? Or do I need to request it from an admin or something?

There are already plenty of communities here. New communities can be created on other instances.
