It’s a funny meme and all, but I don’t think Windows Update has killed bootloaders since like Windows 7. Especially with UEFI having multiple boot options has been the default, with Windows having a couple and not caring if there are a couple of more in there for other stuff.
Idk I believed it tbh - windows still does stuff like shipping their own curl version with the OS so this wasn’t too far off from a patch Tuesday “whoopsie”

Just this week I had to restore a Linux EFI file which somehow got deleted during a Windows update.
And last year there were a lot of memes going around how Windows deleted the bootloader for a lot of Linux users.
