Germany started giving out federal grants in 2020 to "achieve international competitiveness" in game development.

Why can’t the german government just be happy with their most famous game developed there GOLLUM by Daedelic studio? Why do they need more?

Their best games (Edna, Deponia, …) were all made when Poki was still there. During that time they made some of the best modern pint-and-click adventures.

Before that they were remembered for the video game where you sell a black woman into slavery… As an organ grinder monkey. This is just karma.

The third(?) Deponia game. Where you have the clones. There’s one segment where you cause a woman to lose her job, trap her in a sewer, and “offer” her a job to escape the sewer by working as an organ grinder monkey. It’s really fucked up.

Maybe not as fucked up as the puzzle where you lure a group of kids into a creepy guys van.

Lol you didn’t even know it was a thing and now you’re an expert on it. And of course you immediately defend it.

You didn’t even know this person existed before they commented saying the company that makes the game you’re talking about used to be good and now you know everything about them. Wild.
