The “west as the bastion of LGBT rights” compared to the eastern (Asiatic) European dictators crushing trans rights propaganda really hits different with one of Americas largest states essentially inviting vigilantes to do whatever they like against trans people and their parents.

There is having empathy in the world, but the number of people directly affected by both things is a very small group who are having a real bad time.
