No, meat should be more expensive for the amount of environmental damage it does.
And if that was the reason, sure. But it’s not. It’s due to corporate greed as seen by EVERYTHING increasing in price. I saw brussel sprouts going for $5/lb when just a couple years ago they were less than a dollar.
