I need to squirrel myself away for a weekend and get stuck in. I know I’ll love it because it’s the kind of game I enjoy - the entry point feels a bit higher than I’d expected though!
A Literal Cabbage. What do you want from me?

Do you ever not listen to podcasts? I can barely keep up to date with 2 or 3!
Can I add a voice for YouFibre?
Based in Tewkesbury, Glos. - well priced and generally pretty good in my experience.
Don’t rule out running still! Cycling and swimming are both great but - especially as we age - our bone density tends to decrease and minor falls (or from a bike) can cause bigger issues.
How much mouse work do you do? I switched after 20 odd years of ‘normal’ mouse use and id struggle to go back now for anything other than FPS gaming to be honest! It was very easy to adjust with a few days of use.
Didn’t you hear, it was a glitch! An error with Signal!
That feels a little interesting don’t yourl think?
The big two for me are
I quite enjoy The Rest Is Entertainment for Richard Osman’s take on all things media related. Marina Hyde is okay too, but she has some poor takes on a lot of things…
I’ve tried playing with the default tileset and it hurt my brain.
Does it get better?
That’s a slightly bigger boy than my hario hand grinder!
Only if they’re not hardwired in - lots of people where I live just stick them to their doors so there’s no wires.
What grinder do you have?
We had the same thing in the UK with Argos and the giant book of dreams…
They’ve managed to remain a pretty good Amazon alternative for random gubbins and game stuff, and they now operate out of some larger supermarkets so you can pick stuff up while you’re doing your groceries.
It looks like this is actually the most common “repairable” part on earbuds, which is a little peverse. Ifixit has a few models which have replaceable cells (usually they take hearing aid batteries). The case which in my limited technical ability would appear to be theoretically easier to fix, seems to be a sticking point.
I guess that smooth lines and no screws is more important than keeping things going?
My cheap set looks to be glued down, strangely.
They’re the “traditional” taxis in London. The drivers are required to essentially memorise the entire road system of London to qualify which makes them a)skilled labourers and b)much better in terms of getting you to a destination than Uber or equivalent can drivers who primarily rely on Google maps or similar.
They’re sometimes more expensive but generally because they’re quicker (and don’t do “surge pricing” in the same way as “disruptor” firms do) the pricing is pretty comparable in my experience.
If you’re in London then Taxiapp is the one to use; it’s for black cabs and is run by and for them. I always use black cabs if take a taxi in London - the Knowledge is an amazing thing!
Free Now is good and is used by black cabs as well.
People banging on about having “generational wealth” is a pet peeve of mine. If you have it you wouldn’t talk about it, and it’s fine to want to set you kids up but you mostly want to spaff it all on awful shit people told you was bougie.
I miss the days when people who got rich suddenly bought jetskis, a good toilet, and blew it all having an amazing time. There’s an honesty to that I can respect (as a poor).
The only one I enjoyed was Branagh’s Cinderella. Good visuals, no weird messing with the story, just a straight up retelling, just with good acting and direction.
I was moving away from my Garmin watch for a variety of reasons, but this might be the nail in the coffin if they introduce or restrict their free offering.
Gadgetbridge might work but I don’t know if it will sync with bike computers as well…
