These retiring Republicans should go scorched earth on MAGA, and make their lives miserable until the Midterms, when the Dems can take over, and make their lives miserable.

Everybody just pissing off everybody else. This is how world wars get started.
I got a few chores to do, then I’m going to sit down and do an experiment: I’m going to convert a guitar I just got got from a steel string guitar to a nylon string guitar.
It’s an a 3/4 size, all mahogany acoustic, and it sounds good, with good definition in the mid range, and nicely balanced highs and lows, it’s just a bit harsh for my ears. I already have a beautiful 3/4 size that I like, so I think this conversion could mellow out the tone of this new guitar, and give me a sound I don’t already have.
I’m also going to change the nut, saddle, and pins from cheap plastic to bone. That should help, too.

I have a standing rule that I won’t vote for billionaires, but if we end up with a billionaire Democrat against a MAGA, I’m NOT voting MAGA.
I may not like voting for a billionaire, but I remember FDR was rich, and do it anyway.

Can’t trust anyone who wants the job.
Religious freaks are predisposed to believe the most outlandish nonsense, so they’re the perfect target for political indoctrination. If they can believe in imaginary friends to the point of tithing to them, they’ll do that with a real life guy who promises to protect them from evil, just like Jesus.

Now correlate those trades with specific announcements that caused market swings.
The last guys that had to deal with these kinds of traitors, left us with a great tool to deal with this exact situation, called the 14th Amendment/ Section 3:
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
This perfectly describes Trump, and every person who gave speeches at the pre-Insurrection rally, as well as anyone who amplified the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen, which was the premise for the Insurrection.
All it would have taken was a Biden Administration courageous enough to use the exact words in the Constitution to protect us from the resurrection of MAGA. If Lincoln could have seen that, he would have been screaming: “Why the fuck do you think we went to the trouble of amending the fucking Constitution? To keep traitors like these assholes from taking over again, you dopey dipshits!”

“The Monk Seals have a message for ya…”

Anybody who says they believe in this dopey mythology is either an idiot, or a liar.
Trump probably thinks he’s being James Bond. If it WAS in English, it would have been deliberate misinformation, and Trump would be dumb enough to act on it.

I support all Unions, and all strikes. I don’t even care why.

And then he went in front of the cameras and fished about how much he loved the amazing beautiful children.
Obvious trolling by the Chinese, and he went right along with it. What a putz.
Can’t take no chances. Better safe than sorry.

There were a bunch of compromises, but a lot of the budget closures came from cleaning up corrupt nonsense from past mayors, state obligations that governors had pawned off on the city, and the tax on wealthy second homes.
It isn’t the perfect situation to be in, but it’s a whole lot better than anything they’ve had before, and it can technically be called a balanced budget, something nobody else could pull off. And best of all, they did it without raising taxes on the people, or cutting services, something the wealthy insisted was impossible.
A Balanced Budget is the first step, and now that the city is on somewhat solid footing, it can use future tax revenues to shore up their position even better, address some the compromises they had to make, and build on their successes.
Or we can just invent all kinds of fantasies why the Socialist mayor’s obvious successes are really failures.

I bet she demands wild sex all the time, too.

Until the state passes a law that they can’t do that. That’s what happened in the early 2000s, when small cities decided to host their own Internet for free, and have local businesses sponsor it. One town in my area announced they could do it for $250K, and there were plenty of local businesses that spend far more on advertising.
Then the big ISPs greased some palms, and it became illegal almost everywhere.
All Marketing Zero Everything Else Extra Profits
I just say I’m a “standard-issue white guy,” and people know what that means.
They’re as much Christians, as MAGAs are Conservatives.
