The main draw of Switch 2 is Nintendo software. That’s about the end of the discussion for me that makes me need one. Nintendo has always made my favorite games since I started playing in 1988. They still make many of my favorite games today.

I was mad at the pricing at first but then I put it in perspective. I really only buy 3-4 retail games per year on the Switch, and at $10-20 more each, that’s $30-80 more per year at most. Not a happy thing but it is what it is. That’s literally one night out with friends having drinks and food.

Still going to love my Steam Deck and still going to play plenty of games on it too… likely more than Switch 2 because of Steam deals and the fact that I trust Valve more with my digital library than Nintendo honestly. They’ve never let me down whereas Nintendo has.

Death is retirement. Suicide when I can no longer work. They don’t leave all of these guns and fentanyl around for nothing.

If the Coens returned to do a sequel, I would trust they have a good reason and be excited… but I think it’s like Bridges says. Not gonna happen. That’s perfectly good with me.

Yeah, it’s extremely rare when I read “Trump administration…” followed by an action I agree with. Broken clock and such.

I had requested a week off of work because I was miserable and about to quit. Was watching the governor of my state speak on tv with my family, and knew what was going to happen based on what was happening everywhere else. Look, the pandemic was clearly awful and the consequences have screwed up the world even more than it was already screwed up… but in that moment learning that I’d never have to go back to that job and I was about to get $1000/week to sit home, spend time with family, cook, relax, play games and watch movies? Oh, it was the best times of my adult life. So this is how the rich get to live? Turns out I’m not depressed. I just hate being a slave.

I overheard two kids talking about how much they liked American History X in the late 90’s… they loved the curb stomping scene and how “badass” Derek was. Safe to assume they missed the point.

“Oh shit. They killed the prophet. Now what?”

“We’ll say he came back to life!”

“Brilliant! But… uhh… then what do we say when people ask where he is?”

Indeed I should have said “up to 4K” and of course that is usually going to require using Nvidia’s excellent DLSS tech. But at the end of the day, the results are a visual treat. Again, mainstream consumers don’t think about stuff like this. It’s a solid upgrade over Switch. Thing is going to sell out instantly and be hard to get for a year just like the original regardless of what we think.

The hardware really isn’t dated though. Remember this is a handheld, not a console, and it’s using a newly designed custom Nvidia chip. Mainstream audiences aren’t going to be deeply analyzing the specs. They’re just going to look at the games. And the games look very good and are running at 4K.

Yeah, they’re going to sell out immediately and stock is going to be scarce even if they did increase the price.

I can’t recall any scenario where Trump and his cronies aren’t cringey and childish, so it’s business as usual really.

If they had actually done their job, he would have never been reelected. The media was harder on Bernie Sanders when he was winning primaries.
