Last year I found a box full of my old transformers and micromachines. My son and me had great fun playing with them. Sadly the transformers weren’t in good condition.

Here I am reading this while I sit on the floor next to my son’s bed as he’s trying to sleep. He’s too excited that he doesn’t want to be alone. I’m so happy for him, and a bit sad that I haven’t felt excitement like that for so long.

Freezing is an interesting method. Humans, being warm blooded, have a hard time in the cold. A lot of cold blooded animals just slow down when they get cold. I’ve no idea how it works for lobsters though, would be interesting to know.

Exactly that. Years ago my town suffered a complete power outage. I lived close to a hospital and therefore on their power grid. I got electricity back but nothing else worked. No mobile phone signal, no internet. I can’t remember if the TV broadcasting was down or not. But I ended up just going to bed. I should have gone for a walk as I never would see the town in such darkness again.

Oh interesting. I wonder if that is why adverts, even in the 90’s, had silly accents.

I was watching some old British adverts a few weeks ago. I thought to myself that I don’t remembering them sounding the way they do. Might be what helped knock my local accent out of me.

I dunno. Shadow fleets, radiation poisoning, nerve agents. He does sabre rattle but he also likes to send a message. It’s like having a Soprano put in charge.

And from what I have heard on science podcasts, the moon is, and has been, and still will be, moving away from the earth. Making the perfect solar eclipse only for a segment of the earth’s history.

I just found this quote in an interview in 2022.

Somebody at work was telling me his conspiracy theories and one was that Gates got divorced around the time Ghislaine Maxwell was being convinced. He reckons Melinda Gates found some horrible truths.

Absolutely no way or knowing one way or the other but it was an interesting theory.

Is this like the “queens voice” people used to put on when they answered the phone in the pre-mobile times? We used to laugh at my mum and dad for putting on a posh accent when answering the phone. I’m not aware of people doing that these days but perhaps they do

I wonder if there were two buttons, one for the shock, and another which gives them something more rewarding. I wonder how fast or slow they give up on the more rewarding response because that too becomes boring. I suppose like a song that sounds great at first but you hate it after x times

Yeah the flu is nasty business. I few years back I was pretty much in bed solid for 2 weeks. When I thought I was ok to walk outside my heart rate picked up, sweating, tired and short breath. Back inside I went.

Hello fellow rain lover in the UK. I like the rain, and the dark. Walking in the rain on a winter evening is as good as it gets. It’s best when there’s no wind and the sound of the rain changes depending on what it’s falling on. That moment when I move from next to a lake to some trees (as an example) is amazing sound transition.
