  • someone personally made it their mission to relentlessly belittle me for five straight years to the point it escalated into me having to get law enforcement involved as they physically showed up to a place I frequented. every singular thing I possibly could have done made it significantly worse, and this comic (among other weird Twitter adjacent artists who seemingly hate their fans for some reason) is essentially a rich guy telling other people they shouldn’t let comments get to them in the most snobby way possible.

People like me don’t really have an opportunity to make friends because of various mental issues and extreme sensitivity due to other issues. I don’t know this guy besides seeing a post he liked online which was essentially a artist saying they hate their fans (???), I dunno who he is as a person.

but I think it takes an insanely delusional type of person as to where it’s a personal fault you don’t want to face sexist and disgusting comments online. We should be striving for change. People online in the early 2000s were fucking insanely racist towards Asian people and still are in smaller circles. that’s actual harassment, not just mean comments. typically when people say they’re reading mean comments it’s usually diabolical shit.

  • this reminds me I remember once my dad tried applying for a aircraft mechanic position and he was extremely weirded out as they proceeded to ask him nothing but questions related to marketing, how he would sell a pen, etc. Then it started getting jnto extremely weird territory. stuff like “would you ever consider stealing from your boss? have you ever killed someone?” he eventually just asked what was the position he was being interviewed for as he was told thus was a mechanic position and the questions were making him extremely uncomfortable to be divulging.

The woman looked at him weirdly for a minute, said “excuse me a minute” and left. an hour rolled by and he went to the front desk and found that the entire place was empty with the lights shut off at 3:22 PM. he tried calling later and they gave him shit for “being unprofessional by leaving.”

He said how was he unprofessional when everyone was fine with packing up and leaving? silence on the other end. they hung up and he was extremely confused. it was a multi million dollar company in the area so it’s not like this was some small office.

  • I think that’s any online community, but reddit is especially bad with their inside jokes and one liners that nobody finds funny. or people blatantly lying.

my favorite one is literally any post where a profession is described, and coincidentally that person with the profession, no matter how ridiculous it is, always finds the post.
