For my state congressman during the primaries a guy knocked on my door and was ruining in the Democratic primary. Young guy who claimed progressive values. Creepy vibe.

I looked him up after and he had a failed bid as a republican congressman one state over. Republicans are trying to sneak in their own into democratic primaries and it’s working.

The first book is the best but God Emperor of Dune is really good. Chapter House would make a great movie as well.

Children of Dune is imo the worst of the Frank Herbert Dune books. That’s going to be tough to adapt well.

Put someone in charge who better represents what the base wants. Exactly what this meeting is about. They are about to select the next DNC leader. Two establishment corporate Dems and one Bernie guy are the main three in the running.

If you want a better Democratic party this can be a big step in making that happen. After the huge loss they just has now is the best chance to get better leaders in power.

Odds are it’s not going to happen but maybe this will change the mind of some of the people who are voting. Show them this group cares and will actually show up if you carter to them.

I’ll do the occasional 72 hour fast. A 24 hour fast once a month. These days I change the 72 hour to a 48 hour then blood test every hour or two until I see a blood sugar rise. That’s when the body starts to cannibalize muscle tissue so I stop.

Compare Brokeback Mountain to Ben and Arthur. Both movies about the relationship between gay men and society. Both say gay people should be treated fairly by socity but aren’t. The first does it in interesting way with great storytelling and ideas. The later is a hamfisted mess.

I’m not going to say modern Trek is Ben and Arthur bad but it is much closer to Ben and Arthur writing then it is to Brokeback Mountain.

Having dealt with Sony for years as a engineer their non consumer hardware is a true pain. Trying to interface with some of their ccd image sensors was some of the most PITA integration i’ve ever dealt with.
