If that’s not an option, the best compromise I’ve found so far is a model where the two actual earbuds are wired together and they only connect to your device via bluetooth. It’s a short cable, so you can very comfortably wear it behind your neck so you don’t have worry about them falling out or losing them. Decent sound too and they’ve lasted more than a year so far despite being cheap compared to other bluetooth earbuds
