Help me, which term is racist?

You know there is a difference between wise people being listened to because of experience or just because it’s been smart and suggesting rules everyone then agrees on and a feudal lord or class thereof that are exploiting a poorer majority with threats of violence and living a lavish lifestyle. There are still existing tribes in Asia or Amazonas that don’t even have words for mine and yours because the concept of owning is so foreign to them. Everything is shared. To say that they are being ruled comparably to medieval and modern systems just doesn’t make sense.

Malidak@lemmy.worldto The Democratic People's Republic of Tankiejerk@lemmy.world•You just haven't read that 100+ year old book! 😤82·3 months agoI like a quote from the German left party. Said: “Well a true democratic communism hasn’t really had the chance to prove itself yet” - which got me to think. Maybe the democratic majority just doesn’t want communism. Now why is that? I think because almost all the opinions and information they are being barraged with are coming from capitalist owned news or because most people need to have this illusion that their work or whatever they are doing will eventually make them be better off than their neighbors.

This is a good read. There is a pretty large socialist movement that seems to have the idea that to reach global socialism we need to defend every self proclaimed socialist state without asking any questions at all and hope they’ll get better over time.

Malidak@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Netanyahu: Iran regime change will come a ‘lot sooner than people think’English34·9 months agoThank you for correcting me in such a condescending way. Not everyone is a native speaker, doesn’t mean I don’t speak English.
Look at the comment I am replying to. The literally said Israel must go. What is that implicating? Certainly not Israel needs to be rehabilitated, like Nazi Germany, which is what I am advocating for here.
Reading your second paragraph, we seem to agree.
It’s the Comment I am replying to that seems to want Israel gone. How do you make that happen, without eradicating or displacing them (both of which is considered genocide)?
Malidak@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Netanyahu: Iran regime change will come a ‘lot sooner than people think’English63·9 months agoThank God they didn’t gain the upper hand.
I think “Israel” needs to be demilitarized and dezionified so that they cannot hurt anyone else. The people responsible for the genocide and crimes against the Palestinian people need to be tried in a court. Let an international alliance govern the affairs of a new state of Palestinians and Jews willing to live together in piece. Everyone else who wants to continue the violence can fuck Off.
I don’t understand why I am being downvoted for this except that maybe some of these people screaming for peace here actually just want to reverse the killing.
Malidak@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Netanyahu: Iran regime change will come a ‘lot sooner than people think’English827·9 months agoDon’t go there. If people would’ve had these opinions on Germany after WW2 that would’ve went really bad. Germany has been rehabilitated not perfectly but imo rather well. I think it is possible for Israel/Palestine as well.
Or are you suggesting to genocide Israelis like their government is doing to Palestinians right now? That’d be pretty fucked up, don’t you think?
Malidak@lemmy.worldto vegan@lemmy.world•You are literally eating rotting corpse.English5·9 months agoA friend of mine has a farm and adopts the occasional “free-range” chicken (which just means there is some outside part accessible from the cage). They are so heavily bred that they kept falling over because their breasts were too large, so they wouldn’t move much. This is always what I think about when I read free range. Basically a chicken too fat to move that can look outside an open window.
Malidak@lemmy.worldto vegan@lemmy.world•You are literally eating rotting corpse.English2·9 months agoI think you missed the point.
Malidak@lemmy.worldto vegan@lemmy.world•You are literally eating rotting corpse.English4·9 months agoYour first point is literally why I went vegetarian. I tried getting meat out of sources that I could ethically comply with but gave up after a while. If you live in a city it is practically impossible.
I say vegetarian, because I eat the occasional egg if I personally know the chickens and their living conditions.
Oh, TIL - thanks!
