This is a broad generalization, which is something I think we should try to avoid about all groups. While the world is run by white men, the majority of white men are not the same people.

The ones that do have the time, space, means, and privilege only seem to enjoy fucking everything up for other people, including lower-classed white men, which is depressing.

“White pride” groups are hate groups. Being white is not a culture. There are plenty of white cultures, like Ukrainian, Irish, English, French, etc, that have cultural events and celebrations all the time.

I’m also not a fan of “Asian pride” for the same reason, but would hesitate to call them hate groups. There’s lots of Asian countries with different cultures. Skin tone is nothing to be proud of.

“Black pride” however, is fine because of the whole being-ripped-from-your-homeland-and-all-knowledge-of-it-being-stripped-from-your-ancestors-because-of-slavery thing.

I do agree with you though. Like there’s education grants for every group, but when I went back to school at 35 there was nothing for me but loans. So now I’m in debt, and man… I could use some help too.

While I agree with what you’re saying, I will raise the question: where is the place to talk about men’s issues in a healthy way? They seem really hard to find.

It’s a hole that needs to be filled, because currently it’s being filled by Tates and other shitbirds.

Admittedly, I’ve been a Mac fan since I was a kid, first home PC was an Apple IIGS. The Mac mini is the way to go. You save like $1000 just by not paying for the monitor and other accessories. I use an apple monitor from 2011 that I got for $100 in 2020 and a Samsung TV for the second one. Logitech keyboard and mouse, MSI controller. I’ve always bought them second hand, usually a year behind. I’m a fan, not a glazer. ;)

However, I am trying to de-corpify my digital life, as I like to call it, so only my daily driver is still a Mac. My old mini now runs Mint as my home server and my MacBook also runs mint. (It’s an older one, any work I do other than paperwork is done on the other machine)

Naturally I started with an iPhone because they work so well together. However, once I can get my hands on one of those Motorola Graphene phones, I plan to ditch Mac OS for Linux on my daily driver. (An M4 mini that I got for $600CAD floor model right before the prices went up)

I’ll probably stick with second-hand Mac hardware (or floor models) though.

I use a Mac and play Nintendo games on it. Walled garden my ass.

With Mac OS, the walled garden is there, but it’s easy to get out of. No “hacking” required, just gotta know where to click. It’s just not obvious so dummies don’t fuck up their computers.

Neat. I went for a Tuesday matinee at a regular theatre and there were like 6 people there including me and my date. Was pretty good!
