Also, why are 5 nouns and the 6th is an adjective (or past tense of a verb)? I hate that DEDICATED is there more than ASSASSIN. Also, word art is naff.
I work with someone like this but it’s over Teams.
Last time she called, I had an idea. I said “I know you’ve got lots on, and I can go on a bit, so I’ll be quick.” It didn’t work.
She’s lovely and I don’t want to hurt her feelings, but I’m swamped so having a long conversation about stuff that’s not work isn’t an option.
Off Menu. James Acaster and Ed Gamble have a guest in to discuss their dream menu. I started listening to guests I know and like at first, but then I listened to them all. Some of the guests I didn’t know turned out to be brilliant anyway.
It’s from above and he has an ottoman pushed underneath with cushions on. The hammock is suspended but he was a bit unsure at first so it helped him to get up.
My dots aren’t dotting how I’d like as I make at least 2 entries a day (so it does an average), but here’s my totals with moods changed to headaches (I used to use it to track fatigue but needed to switch to headaches).
I wish you many more green dots for 2025!
I paid for premium a while ago. I changed the “moods” to “headaches” and I wanted to add more than one entry a day. I used the free version for a ages first and felt the app had proven it was worth paying for. I don’t use a lot of the features though.
Can we get this man some help. Not saying he’s not an absolute wanker - that’s a given - but isn’t anyone close to him concerned about his mental health?
He’s fallen out with the leader of the far-right Reform UK now, because, apparently that frog-faced fuck Farage does have a line in the sand (at least for appearances’ sake), and isn’t comfortable with Musk’s support for fascist thug “Tommy Robinson”.
Hopefully this means no donation (bribe) to Reform UK, but I’m sure that piece of shit will continue to try and fuck with our democracy.
Really good points that I’ve not seen articulated this well before.
I remember seeing the movie at the cinema when it came out and it really upset me. I cried all the way home and I was still tearful the next day at school. I really struggled to explain to people that no, it wasn’t about Leonardo DiCaprio, it was this catastrophic and unnecessary loss of life caused by greed and hubris
I know right? Really annoying.
Ha sorry, I realise I missed out pertinent information! They have it set to auto-rotate and I can’t turn it off.
My work laptop/ tablet thingy doesn’t give me permission to control rotation, otherwise I would be doing this. Chronic pain and fatigue means I sometimes just need to lie down during work. Luckily I can use speech to text.
Very good advice, thank you. NDN is an animal lover too, so we are both going to do our best.
The good news is, I may be mistaken that she was getting pet stuff delivered as I saw the same vehicle today and they were visiting another house. So hopefully it is the friend of the person who lives there.
Thank you. I’ve done a web chat with RSPCA and let them know the concerns. I need to find some more details if we need to take it further.
But, I can report that the person I saw delivering the stuff may not have been going to her, as I saw them come and visit a different house. NDN still thinks she will try and obtain animals though, so we are staying vigilant.
I feel this. I have adapted very well to small talk and kid talk, but veer off this and I realise how little I have in common with other parents. I even work in a field that should be full of lefties, but I can only think of one person there I can have these proper conversations with.
Luckily my neighbour is more on my wavelength when it comes to billionaires. Actually had a conversation today that went to cursing their existence within minutes. Can’t remember what started it!
Per the article posted in the comments, this is a new-build. In the UK, 90% of them are built in the same style that uses a lot of traditional features.
I do agree with the old homes being awkward though. Our staircase is straight, but narrow and very steep. The house itself was probably well built, but the decades of renovations made to it are not necessarily well done. We’ve found that we’ve had to strip rooms down to the brick and dirt floor to do it properly.
It’s been mentioned above, but Sarah Marshall’s podcast You’re Wrong About explores these stories of “maligned women of the 90s” (and many others) with depth and compassion. I highly recommend it.
