11·16 days agoIt doesn’t go anywhere because it never existed in the first place.
It’s like when it’s the day after Easter and all the Easter candy gets discounted. If you took the previous total price of all the candy and figured out how much it went down after the discounts, then you could figure out how much the Easter candy market “dropped” but it’s not a meaningful measure for anything.
Why we treat it as a meangingful measurement and base our society around it…, that’s beyond me.

How often do you think use of AI improves medical outcomes vs makes them worse? It’s always super-effective in the advertising but when used in real life it seems to be below 50%. So we’re boiling the oceans to make medical outcomes worse.
To answer your question, AI would need to demonstrate improved medical outcomes at least 50% of the time (in actual use) for me to even consider looking at it being useful.

Ukraine was already at war with the Donbas republics when Russia intervened. The order is events is as follows. Russia recognizes Donbas republics --> Ukraine massively escalates the shelling of the Donbas republics --> Russia invades Ukraine. The central Ukrainian government repeatedly refused to actually abide by any of the ceasefires it had signed and was shelling its separatist regions on-and-off for eight years while Putin stood around with his thumb up his ass.
The animals in Chernobyl seem to still be doing fine as far as I can tell. Scientists are still studying them and publishing papers. There were was some extra radiation revealed by the dust being kicked up but animals don’t really care about that, it’s why Chernobyl became a wildlife haven in the first place.
