I see major political change of any kind as 5 years away at minimum. No organization inside or outside of government really wants major change. At most they want to twist a few nobs and dials on the machines to increase the pain at a faster or slower rate.

Americans are pretty far from the level of suffering that will produce violent revolutionary conditions. We barely have any solid reform movements since everything gets coopted by either political party and defanged. There are no independent centers of power and many people are too alienated or disconnected to create a movement.

I’d like to think something has to happen soon with how the financiers are sucking the life out of the country’s and world’s economy but all of the carefully crafted systems of control seem ascendant. Even with both political parties being filled with incompetent losers they can still bumble their way through maintaining the system.

This is a country where cops can kill people in broad daylight and get away with it when it’s on video. The American psyche has to change but I feel like it will only get worse with the conditions.

At will employment in the US is crazy. We’re approaching the point of swearing literal fealty to our corporate overlords.

Important to remember that there is already a vaccine for h5n1. It would need to be updated if it mutates to a point where human to human infections are consistent. It should be faster to get something out than it took for covid.

I obviously have no idea what it would look like if it does mutate to human to human transmission but I’m not an omega doomer about it. We cant predict when or even if a process like evolution will produce a certain result. The US and other countries will obviously let it rip so stay safe if it does.

Yeah, I remember that article from years before the SMO about Ukraine being the international training ground for fascists. So, Azov doesn’t even need to leave Ukraine since they’ve been rebranded as brave freedom fighters like the Contras. They can stay in Lvov to protect in 2034 after Russia reaches the outskirts of Kiev and at the same time train NATO fascists, street fascists for europe and the anglosphere, and the CIA goons who will train other fascists in probably mostly latin america.

Generally agree except for evaluating things with post nut clarity. Some people need to be clear headed when making relationship decisions so that they don’t do something stupid because they’re horny.

I went in without hope for the election and I am actually upset that the Republicans look like they’ll hold all three branches of government fully. That’s not something I had considered since I’m used to some kind of division inside congress. They can do real freak shit with the whole of the Federal government if they can all get in line. Moderately big if since there are factional divides in the party but still there are valid things to be worried about if in the grand scheme of things the empire will continue on unimpeded.

Anyway, the material conditions drive the world and they will mold and influence you as well. It’s important to build and structure your life in a way that can support your how you want to grow. Basically try to join an organization even if it’s a glorified book club and you might meet good people and restore some of your faith in humanity and also deprogram your liberalism.

He does have a big ego and I’d enjoy seeing it crushed by Trump just barely beating him.

That unfortunately can’t be successful without major country wide electoral reform to remove first past the post style voting. I could only really see that happening if the capitalists think that they need to destroy the current two party system to get better control of worsening conditions. Basically asking the masses to calm down and they can vote some greens and libertarians into power as a treat.

Also worth noting that the Greens (despite their poor performance) appear to have done better than the Libertarians, which I don’t think has ever happened. They did better than RFK as well. So at least there’s that.

Based on the ramblings of my brother and a kind of dumb coworker, rfk was probably a spoiler for the libertarians. The dumb non Trump voters just couldn’t get behind a candidate and the greens got to show them up.

Europe doesn’t have the ability to go it’s own way. Without energy sovereignty, which was denied to them with the ukraine war and the Nordstrom bombings, and with neoliberal austerity they won’t be able prevent deindustrialization. The world is still addicted to dollar denominated debt so I don’t see a way out for anyone else either. Also, China unfortunately just sits there keeping to themselves so they won’t be build a robust alternative to the US for a good while. Those are all short term outlooks though. I’d like to be proven wrong though.

Just looking at it we can clearly see it was riding higher than usual during covid and then quickly dropped down lower than it was before covid. People will feel that and understand that Biden was president for that entire reversal. It’s not even a complicated argument. You literally only have the one graph.

Looks like it’s reactionary fascism instead of neoliberal fascism this time around. Generally in Europe they seem to favor business as usual neoliberal fascism right now but the Americans just have to be different.

The only thing in that list that changes if Kamala won is that Elon would be sad. There’s only limited changes to the nature and shape of the evil of this empire between which demon gets elected.

They are a party of losers completely disconnected from reality.

It has the chance of being a black hole that absorbs so many chuds that other states eventually turn purple/blue. It would take a while but it might happen. Really a race between that process and the combination of neoliberal rot and climate change destroying those states first.

My real name has few too many n’s and m’s near each other and at a certain point it just becomes however many little humps I draw that time. I write my signature two times a year on average and have dogshit hanwriting so they’d be able to get rid of me no matter what.

It’s like that clip from the show mythbusters: I reject your reality and substitute my own. They do think it matters in their reality.

A lot of people will not know about or understand the electoral college because it’s a stupid institution and easy to forget. A lot of people will think they still need to vote because it is a civic duty to vote because a lot of Iraqis died so that we could get our freedoms back from Saddam Hussein. And a lot of people will see their vote as a moral action to show support for their side regardless.

They have a different reality and the motivations for their actions need to be understood on the terms of their reality and not ours. It’s also beneficial to understand how their reality is formed but that’s a different conversation. It’s especially beneficial to understand their reality if you’re having a real conversation and trying to convince someone and change their mind.
